Perseuss hosted the 5th Perseuss annual community event plus, together with Actuary and Mastercard, the inaugural ‘Nextgen Credit Risk monitoring’ event, held from April 24-26 in Lisbon. It brought together industry experts and was filled with knowledge sharing sessions, networking, best practices and discussions around fraud prevention and the next generation of credit risk monitoring tools in the Airline and Travel sectors.
The group consisted of approximately 80 attendees in total from the EMEA region, representing a mix of Airlines, OTA’s, Acquirers, Card Schemes, and other industry stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Day 1 was reserved for the Perseuss member community event, focusing on fraud and loyalty in the Airline and Travel sector. After a joint welcome reception during the evening of day 1, days 2 and 3 were focused on payments, covering credit risk assessment, monitoring and mitigation, from the merchant, acquirer and scheme perspectives.
Our goal with this event is to create awareness about the role and importance of credit risk and to come together as a community to drive innovation by collaboration. By doing this we hope to contribute to a balanced and sustainable approach to credit risk that will restore / create trust in the ecosystem and will benefit all links in the travel payment value chain.
The event took place at the
Tivoli Oriente Lisboa Hotel, located on the banks of the Tagus River within Lisbon’s iconic Parque das Nações.
